City School Systems

The citizens of Tullahoma are proud of the educational opportunities provided by Tullahoma City Schools. The district consistently ranks among the highest performing in the State of Tennessee and is nationally recognized as an outstanding school district. THS students often achieve perfect scores on college entrance exams.

Students attend four neighborhood elementary schools, two middle schools, and a comprehensive high school. The student-to-teacher ratio is 20-to-1 and 69% of high school graduates advance to college.

In addition to programs for grades K through 12 students, the school system provides a Kool Kids Program to serve the after-school needs of elementary and middle school students and pre-school services for handicapped students. Creating Educational Opportunities is a program where industries and individuals provide time, effort, and funds to enhance the curriculum in the schools. In addition, an Adult Education program with extended hours is offered.

Policy for the City School System is set by a seven-member Board of Education elected by the general public for four-year terms. The Board of Education employs a Superintendent of Schools.
